Our Guide to 2026 Wayfair Shopping Policies

• Where do I enter a Promo Code on Wayfair?

On Wayfair, go to the Shopping Cart with the header Cart and find the Promo Code box in the upper right under Add Gift Card/Promo Code. Enter your Promo Code and click Apply to add the savings to your order.

• What's Wayfair's return process?

Wayfair's return policy is fairly shopper-friendly, offering 30 days for most returns as long as items are in original condition, with some exceptions for large appliances and mattresses. While the 100-night mattress trial is a plus, be aware that returning for a refund to your original payment method carries a fee, and return shipping costs are deducted from refunds. Some items like clearance, personalized, and open box products are not eligible, so always check item details before buying.

• What's Wayfair's shipping process?

Wayfair's shipping policy is generally shopper-friendly, offering a range of delivery options from fast express shipping to affordable ground shipping, which is great for coupon seekers looking for value and flexibility. Most orders over $35 ship free, making it easy to save on shipping costs, while smaller orders have a reasonable flat fee. Large items may incur higher delivery charges, but the variety of service levels helps shoppers choose what fits their needs and budget.

• What should I know about canceling at Wayfair?

Wayfair's order cancellation policy offers shoppers a brief window to cancel online before items are prepared for shipping, which can be limiting if you change your mind late. Made-to-order and financed items have stricter rules, so flexibility is reduced. If cancellation is not possible, you can return the item, but return shipping fees apply. Refunds are processed quickly, usually within 3-5 business days, and shipping fees are refunded in full for canceled orders. This policy is fairly standard but may not be ideal for those who need more time or flexibility to change or cancel orders.

• Does Wayfair have a rewards program?

Wayfair Rewards is the official loyalty program, priced at $29 per year. Members earn 5% back in rewards across Wayfair's family of brands, plus exclusive sales, early access to deals, free shipping on all orders, and a special birthday offer. Rewards are flexible and do not expire as long as membership stays active. The $29 fee is annual, and free shipping applies to every order you place as a member.

• Is Wayfair known for big storewide sales?

Wayfair offers shoppers excellent opportunities to save with frequent annual and seasonal sales, including Way Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Spring Cyber Week, and Winter Clearance, featuring discounts up to 80% and sitewide free shipping. Early access for Wayfair Rewards members and app-exclusive deals add extra value, making these events a smart time to shop for home essentials.

• Does Wayfair support Buy Now, Pay Later?

Wayfair gives shoppers flexible buy now pay later options through providers like Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, and more, making it easier to split payments on big purchases. While some plans are interest-free, others have high APRs up to 35.99%, so it's important to check terms and your eligibility before choosing a payment plan.

• Are special financing options available with Wayfair credit cards?

Wayfair's Citibank credit cards earn 7% back in Reward Dollars on eligible Wayfair-family purchases, or 5% when eligible promotional financing is selected. Those rates are alternatives, not a combined 12%. Approved new cardholders can receive $40 off a qualifying first order of $250 or more. Financing terms can run 6 to 24 months, depending on the offer; the selected plan determines the APR, required payments and payoff conditions. The Mastercard also earns 3% at grocery stores, 2% on qualifying online purchases outside the Wayfair family and 1% on other eligible purchases. Reward Dollars are not cash, and interest or fees can exceed their value.
